About Us
A school of Ayurveda and panchakarma in Kerala. You learn from doctors and therapists, in places where Ayurveda is a way of life: from treatments to anatomy, working with clients and turning a skill into a practice.
Who we are
Ayurvedashala is a school from the Rishikul Yogshala team. Since 2010 we have run courses in India, in Rishikesh, Goa and Kerala, welcoming students from all over the world. We know how to organize a month of study in another country so that you can focus on learning rather than logistics.
“Shala” is Sanskrit for a home, a place of learning. Ayurvedashala is a place where Ayurveda is taught.
How we teach
- Where Ayurveda is a way of life. Treatments are given here every day and oils are made on site. You learn inside that process.
- From doctors and therapists. You are taught by the same people who look after the patients.
- With your hands. About two thirds of the on-site time is practice: hand technique, treatments, making oils.
- Prepared. Theory is online before you arrive, with an entry test. On site, the time goes to practice.
- All the way to a profession. The school’s evening block: the therapist’s body, contraindications, client intake, protocols, building a practice.
A month where everything is taken care of
Recruiting and preparing the group, the online module, accommodation, meals and the route from the airport: everything is ready for your arrival. A school coordinator stays with the group for the whole course, and after the final exam you receive a certificate listing the syllabus and hours.
