Who it is for

Who the course is for

Oil foot massage
  • Understand Ayurveda through your hands

No career change required: abhyanga, shirodhara and oils, experienced on yourself and on each other.

  • Yoga teachers, massage therapists, beauticians

Abhyanga and shirodhara as an addition to your own work.

  • Try before the month-long course

These are the first two weeks of the same program: find out whether it's for you before committing to a month.

Online module before arrival

16 hours of recorded theory: Ayurveda basics, the doshas, tissues and channels of the body, daily routine, abhyanga theory, anatomy for bodywork practitioners, contraindications. The lectures are recorded in English. The module ends with an entry test: it doesn’t screen anyone out, it brings the whole group to the same starting line.

Week 1. Foundations and hands

Head, face, shoulder and foot massage. Abhyanga: seven body positions, direction of strokes, pressure. Oils: tila, mahanarayana, ksheerabala, dhanwantharam. Shirodhara: setup, temperature, flow, aftercare.

Evening block: the therapist’s body — posture, ergonomics, breathing, table height, protecting your back and hands. Anatomy in practice.

Outcome of the week: you perform a full 60-minute abhyanga without prompting.

Week 2. Dharas and oils

Takradhara: theory and preparation. Swedana: heat treatments. Sneha kalpana: you make a medicated oil with your own hands. Full-body massage with steam. Introduction to panchakarma.

Evening block: contraindications and red flags through case reviews. Assessing prakriti on real people: the group works on each other under supervision.

Outcome of the week: you set up shirodhara on your own and make a medicated oil from scratch.

Daily routine

  3. 09:00 Breakfast.
  4. 10:00–13:00 Block I: hands-on practice.
  5. 13:00–14:30 Lunch and rest.
  6. 14:30–16:30 Block II: treatments and case reviews.
  7. 16:30–18:30 Second personal treatment slot; everyone else does clinical observation in small groups.
  8. 19:00 Dinner.
  9. 20:00–21:00 Block III: the school's evening block — the therapist's body, contraindications, case reviews.
